It’s a dashcam video of an accident filmed in Vietnam. The cyclist wasn’t looking at all— zero awareness. Looking back, maybe it would’ve been better if the truck had just run the bike over straight instead of whatever happened.

Only 10% of sidewalks are properly set up in Vietnam
This footage is said to be from Vietnam. In just the 10 months from January to October 2025, there were 15,251 traffic accidents and 8,515 people died. That works out to about 28 people dying every single day. The government has been cracking down, and both the number of accidents and deaths are lower than last year, but it’s still ridiculously high.
The death rate sits at 17.7 per 100,000 people — higher than both the Asia-Pacific average and the ASEAN average. Traffic safety is a real problem over there. Biggest reason? About 94% of all vehicles on the road are motorcycles, while only 10% of the roads meet proper safety standards for pedestrians, and just 35% are decent for bikes. The infrastructure for people who aren’t in cars is lagging way behind.
